The following subjects are covered in brief:

- ERNA
- Study Information Network (SIN-Online)
- Blackboard
- Osiris Online
Computer facilities in L-building
In the L-building, there are four computer rooms available for use by students. If these rooms are not being used for lectures and courses, the facilities in these rooms can be used to write essays, to surf the internet, and to send e-mails. In the lobby, there are 21 easy-access PCs.
The computer rooms and the easy-access PCs are on the ground floor, on the same side as the lecture rooms. The room numbers are 1, 2, 3, and 4. Room 3 and 4 are designated as special quite rooms where people can work on their own.
In the lobby of L-building, in front of the computer rooms, you will find the PC-lab helpdesk, where you can obtain assistance and information about the computer facilities during opening hours.
There is also an information sheet available about the hardware and software used in the PC-lab.
Logging onto the computers in L-building
To logon to one of the computers in the PC-lab, you will need to use your ERNA username and password.
- ERNA username: a unique username which you will be given by the Erasmus University when you enroll, and which will have the following format: 123456ab@eur.nl
- ERNA password: the password that goes with your unique username
At the beggining of each academic year, the ERNA username and password will be sent to new students with the letter of confirmation of enrollment. If you are unable to logon because you have lost or forgotten your password, get in touch with the PC-lab helpdesk in the lobby of the L-building.
ERNA provides several additional services, such as redirection of e-mail to another address and the ability to change your password. These services can be accessed online at http://www.erna.nl/english.
Access to e-mail
You will be given your own student e-mail address. This address will have the following format: 123456ab@student.eur.nl. The password is the same as the ERNA password. You can access your e-mail by clicking the menu-item 'webmail' on 'My Page'.
ERNA
ERNA is short for Erasmus Remote Network Access. You can find more about ERNA at http://www.erna.nl.
Study Information Network (SIN-Online)
SIN-Online is the communication channel for the Erasmus University. The most important section of SIN-Online is 'My Page'. This is where you will find more information about the services offered by SIN-Online.
Go to 'my page':
- FRG-students (School ol Law)
- FHKW-students (Faculty of History and Arts)
- iBMG-students (institute of Health Policy and Management)
- FW-students (Faculty of Philosophy)
Blackboard
You can access Blackboard using the link on 'My Mage'. Blackboard is the university-wide digital learning zone. The use of Blackboard depends on the course you are taking. The general link to Blackboard is 'www.eur.edu'. You can logon to Blackboard using your ERNA username and password. The main Blackboard window shows the subjects that you have enrolled for, and any announcements that are posted for these subjects. If you have enrolled for a subject that includes a Blackboard course, you can click the link with the name of that subject on 'My Page'.
